Management Committee, with support from Tokyo Properties and Sinyi Development’s Community Building Division, successfully concluded at the end of last month. The event, themed "One Dish Per Family," invited residents to participate in a celebration featuring home-cooked meals, talent performances, and an awards ceremony, creating a unique festive atmosphere for the community.

With the Thanksgiving theme in mind, the host expressed gratitude for the community and the residents' active participation. One of the highlights of the event was the "One Dish Per Family" segment, where residents gathered in the banquet hall before the event to arrange dishes and share a variety of delicious meals with their neighbors.

Several residents prepared dishes focused on health and nutrition. Mrs. Zhang, one of the residents, explained, "Knowing that there are many children in the community, I prepared stir-fried noodles, which is my grandson's favorite nutritious meal. It’s a balanced combination of protein, vegetables, and carbohydrates. After eating, it not only provides energy but is also light on the stomach."

Another resident, Mr. Qiu, prepared a fruit platter, introducing it as the best post-exercise replenishment. After the meal, Mr. Xu shared his family’s daily tea, Gaoshan Tea, with neighbors, encouraging further exchanges among the residents.

The talent performances were another major highlight of the event. The Kalimba (thumb piano) group brought enchanting melodies, while the children from the English club received applause for their lively Thanksgiving dance. Additionally, residents passionately participated in singing performances, capturing moments with family using DSLR cameras.

A voting board was set up at the event, inviting residents to vote for their favorite dishes and performances, promoting interaction and communication among neighbors. The awards ceremony featured gifts sponsored by community residents. Throughout the event, the theme of gratitude was evident in the meal preparation, performances, and interactive discussions, embodying the spirit of sharing and thankfulness.

At the end of the event, residents expressed their appreciation, saying, "Thank you to Sinyi Community Building for co-organizing this event, making the Sinyi community more harmonious" and "Thank you for your thoughtful efforts in making the community better!" Sinyi Development’s Community Building team stated that this event was the first to conduct a carbon footprint assessment, with support from the sustainability department to calculate the carbon emissions. By encouraging residents to bring their own bowls and eco-friendly cups, the event contributed to reducing carbon emissions. On the day of the event, 80% of the residents chose to use their own utensils, contributing to environmental sustainability. Moving forward, Sinyi Development will continue to embrace the concept of creating a "neighborly community," ensuring that every resident feels at home when they walk into the community, enjoying a harmonious and supportive living environment.
