Sinyi Development Wins Sustainability Reporting Award at the 2024 GCSA Global Corporate Sustainability Awards – November 20, 2024

The 2024 GCSA Global Corporate Sustainability Awards ceremony was held on November 20, attracting active participation from companies worldwide. Sinyi Development, participating for the first time, was honored with the Sustainability Reporting Award. This recognition not only affirms Sinyi Development’s outstanding performance in sustainability and corporate social responsibility (CSR), but also highlights its leadership and professional excellence in the sustainable construction sector, setting a new ESG benchmark for the industry.

Sinyi Development is a recognized expert in green building, smart building, and low-carbon architecture, but it also strives to bring warmth and human connection to residential living. Vice President Lee Chien-Kun stated that Sinyi Development integrates the long-standing concepts of “One Community” and “Community Empowerment” promoted by the Sinyi Group into its project planning.

Beyond meeting the functional needs of community facilities, Sinyi Development proactively fosters community engagement from the moment customers complete their home purchase. Future residents are encouraged to connect through community groups even before moving in. After handover, the company further supports the formation of various interest clubs based on residents' needs, nurturing a sense of belonging that begins not at the doorstep, but from the very first step into the community.

Lee emphasized that Sinyi Development recognizes the critical importance of sustainable operations and carbon reduction. The company actively advances environmental protection, social responsibility, and corporate governance through multiple initiatives. Notably, in collaboration with National Cheng Kung University, Sinyi Development conducted comprehensive low-carbon building assessments and carbon footprint evaluations for the "Jiapin" residential and commercial project, representing a successful model of academic-industry cooperation. Meanwhile, the "Jiaxue" residential project has achieved Diamond-Level candidate certifications for Green Building and Low-Carbon Building, and earlier this November, received the Gold-Level Smart Building candidate certification, exemplifying the seamless integration of smart technologies and sustainability principles.

Lee further explained that the "Jiaxue" project was designed in full compliance with eight smart building indicators, including integrated wiring, information and communication systems, and system integration, ensuring highly efficient building operation and management. Through the application of energy-saving management and safety and disaster prevention technologies, Jiaxue provides residents with an intelligent, safe, and sustainable living environment.

Guided by its 2030 vision of "Becoming an ESG Benchmark through Inclusive Pre-Architecture," Sinyi Development continues to enhance the transparency and completeness of its sustainability reporting. To strengthen communication with stakeholders, the company has established a dedicated sustainability website, publishes the "Sustainability Walk" magazine, and engages through social media and community development initiatives, building a comprehensive bridge that strengthens connections between the company and society.
