Sinyi Development Leads Digital Transformation, Promoting Energy-Saving and Carbon-Reduction Development to Become an ESG Benchmark in the Industry

Sinyi Development, a subsidiary of Sinyi Group, Participates in the "GAI-Driven Digital Transformation Future Seminar" as a Sustainable Model for the Construction Industry

Sinyi Development, a subsidiary of Sinyi Group, participated in the "GAI-Driven Digital Transformation Future Seminar" as part of the 45th-anniversary celebrations hosted by the Institute for Information Industry (III). The seminar brought together industry, government, and academic representatives. As a sustainable model in the construction industry, Sinyi Development delivered a keynote speech and participated in a panel discussion.

Sinyi Development has declared 2023 as the inaugural year for its "Inclusive Pre-Architecture" initiative, aiming to set an ESG benchmark in the industry through sustainable building methods and community development. One of its key projects, Sinyi Jiaxin, integrates energy-saving digital hardware and software, including smart electrical systems, smart CT current transformers, and sub-meters, to enhance energy visualization for residents. The project also promotes "energy-saving awareness" through community-building efforts, effectively implementing energy-saving measures.

Li Jiankun, Vice General Manager of Sinyi Development, highlighted that the construction industry accounts for 40% of global carbon emissions, with 30% of those emissions originating from "embodied carbon" produced during building construction, and 70% from "operational carbon" generated by residents after moving in. Therefore, actively reducing carbon emissions is crucial for both Sinyi Development and the broader social and environmental landscape.

To achieve the 2050 net-zero target, Sinyi Development focuses on energy-saving and carbon-reduction measures in building design and material selection, while also introducing AI technology to enhance energy management efficiency. In the past, Sinyi Development has made significant achievements in green building design by using energy management systems (EMS) based on data analysis to precisely identify potential customer needs and tailor suitable living spaces. Additionally, passive design strategies are employed, simulating different environmental conditions and designing appropriate natural ventilation and lighting spaces. For energy-saving materials, the focus is on insulation, including insulated glass, sunshades for exterior walls, and roof insulation to reduce air conditioning usage.

Li Jiankun believes that data is key. For example, in terms of energy use, Sinyi Jiaxin uses an EMS system to introduce an energy-saving "E-Manager" to monitor energy consumption data, further conducting a greenhouse gas carbon footprint assessment to prove the feasibility and value of energy-saving measures. He emphasized that data transformation is essential for industry development and achieving net-zero goals. Sinyi Development is committed to leading the industry by adopting innovative practices and contributing maximum value to society.
