Taiwan’s first single-family home to meet European Passive House standards, “Pure Sequence Passive House”, was recently completed in Anping, Tainan. Jointly developed by Wang Feng Construction and furniture brand STIMLIG, the project integrates energy-efficient building design with modular furniture concepts, drawing significant attention in the real estate market.

Strictly adhering to the rigorous European Passive House criteria, Pure Sequence Passive House is equipped with a total heat exchanger and a high-efficiency air filtration system, maintaining indoor temperatures between 20–25°C year-round, relative humidity below 60%, and indoor CO₂ concentrations under 1,000 ppm. This ensures a consistently comfortable environment with stable temperature, humidity, and oxygen levels—helping to prevent mold growth and providing residents with clean, healthy living conditions. The home also incorporates solar photovoltaic panels and an energy storage system, achieving a low-energy, self-sufficient power supply model.

Wang Feng Construction also adopted the Skeleton–Infill (SI) construction method, widely used in green buildings in Japan, which completely separates the building’s structural frame from its interior finishes. This allows the internal layout to be freely adapted to residents’ needs, extending the lifespan of the building’s hardware and reducing environmental impact during renovations.

STIMLIG, on the other hand, applies modular design to put sustainability into practice. Its sofas and mattresses feature detachable, reconfigurable, and replaceable components, enabling the replacement of damaged parts without discarding the entire product. From product structure to manufacturing processes, the brand follows principles aimed at minimizing resource waste, embodying the true spirit of a circular economy.

This collaboration between Wang Feng Construction and STIMLIG demonstrates how companies can advance toward energy efficiency, carbon reduction, and responsible resource use in both building design and furniture development. It also reflects the industry’s proactive response to and implementation of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) principles.

Wang Feng Construction stated that it will continue partnering with green design brands to expand its sustainable building portfolio. Industry experts believe that the combination of exceptionally comfortable indoor environments and modular furniture is emerging as a key trend in the high-end housing market, with strong potential to promote the development of eco-friendly living models.

As one of Tainan’s key development areas in recent years, Anping District is benefiting from major projects such as Ocean’s Hill, the Argo Yacht Marina, and the Anping Port redevelopment, all of which are enhancing both transportation and leisure amenities. Surrounded by schools, parks, and shopping districts, the Pure Sequence Passive House’s prime location, combined with its high-end positioning, is expected to attract retirees and business owners who value quality of life and environmental sustainability.
