Note: This project is still in the planning and design phase. The drawings are for reference only.
1. Site Location and Overview
The Tucheng–Shulin Line is part of Phase II of the Wanda Line project. Phase I connects Wanhua to Tucheng, while Phase II extends the line from Tucheng through Shulin and eventually links with the Zhonghe–Xinlu Line at Huilong Station. The full length of the Wanda Line is approximately 22.1 kilometers, featuring 22 stations (11 underground stations and 11 elevated stations) along with one depot. The line is designed for seamless transfers with the Songshan–Xindian Line, Circular Line, Bannan Line, and Zhonghe–Xinlu Line, thereby enhancing the metro network and integrating the Greater Taipei and Taoyuan metropolitan areas.

3. Architectural Façade Design
The architectural façade design draws inspiration from the language of nature, extending the form of branches and leaves from the silhouette of a tree trunk to symbolize the outward expansion and organic growth of life. The design approach deconstructs the structural characteristics of a tree, translating them into the vertical and horizontal compositions of the building. This concept allows the structure to appear as if it naturally emerges from the earth, establishing a close dialogue with its surroundings. Echoing the historical background of Shulin District, once known for its timber industry, the architecture serves not merely as a spatial container but as a poetic continuation of the local cultural narrative. In terms of materiality, the façade integrates the solidity of stone, the rhythmic texture of tiles, and the lightness of glass. Through the interplay of light and shadow, it creates a dynamic visual experience of density and openness, reminiscent of sunlight filtering through a forest canopy. The base of the building features a patchwork of green glass panels in varying shades, evoking the image of layered leaves and dappled sunlight along a forest trail. Walking through the space feels like strolling through an urban forest, awakening a sensory connection to nature. Overall, the design reinterprets the relationship between land and trees through a contemporary architectural language, crafting a landscape where architecture coexists with its environment and resonates with the history of the place.
